MCCI was set up in April 2010 under the EI and IDA Competence Centres Program and is hosted by the Tyndall National Institute in collaboration with the University of Limerick. MCCI has core funding of €1M per annum from EI and IDA which is supplemented with co-funding from industry and other public sources. It is led by an Industry Steering Board which sets the strategic direction for MCCI. A full-time MCCI Director reports to the Industry Steering Board and is responsible for the day to day operations of the centre and its research programs.
Industry members drive every facet of MCCI from creation of new projects, re-direction of projects with the Principal Investigator, re-direction of the research program and operations with the MCCI Director, participation on the Technical Advisory Group and participation on the Industry Steering board.
There will be a networking opportunity with light refreshments served.
